TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation.
• Initiate and conduct regular toolbox meetings on site with workers and sub-coordinators.
• Conduct frequent site inspections, risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures.
• Instruct workers on proper use of protective clothing and safety devices.
• Conduct routine tests on safety equipment.
• Train staff and carry out drills for managing emergency situations.
• Develop and implement safe operational procedures on site.
• Prepare and implement Site Safety and Health Plans (SSHP).
• Certify scaffolds, trusses, and suspended platforms before use.
• Review and update existing policies and measures according to current legislation.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on site occurrences, risk assessments, potential hazards, and health and safety policies/strategies.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-6 years of working experience in the construction (building) industry.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, documentation, and permit requirements.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong understanding of construction industry safety standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct effective training sessions and lead safety initiatives.
