Job Description
  • The Chief Accountant plans, organizes, directs and controls the territorial (national) accounting operations.
  • Direct supervision of Payroll Accounting, A/P Accounting, A/R Accounting, General Accounting, Property Accounting, and the Cashier’s Office.
  • To recruit, train, develop and supervise the Finance Department Staff.
  • Prepare presentations to government and accounting standards, reporting and other regulatory requirements for charities and not for profit organizations regarding TSA accounting as required, in order to ensure that the company's position is properly considered.
  • Monitor VAT regulations and ensure compliance by the company
  • Ensure there are consistent accounting practices and controls at THQ, in order to protect company assets, and ensure there is accountability and integrity in all fiscal matters..
  • Monitor commodity and property tax issues generally in order to ensure optimal treatment for the company.
  • Prepare presentations to government and accounting standards, reporting and other regulatory requirements for charities and not for profit organizations regarding TSA accounting as required, in order to ensure that the company's position is properly considered.
  • Serve as liaison with company personnel and external auditors associated with corps, social service centers and divisional headquarters concerning appropriate disclosure of financial position in line with S.A. policy (IFAS) and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Responsible for coordination of annual budgets, providing assistance to personnel responsible for budget preparation for their department/program.
