Job Description

Main Responsibilities

1. Ensuring Quality, Timely, and Cost-Effective Production

  • Participate in program reviews and plan processing orders on CAPM (ERP).
  • Set daily production targets and plan staff allocation.
  • Organize the flow of raw materials and waste in workshops.
  • Monitor raw material and consumable consumption in relation to inventory.
  • Ensure production follows operating procedures, GMP, and safety standards.
  • Manage work units through ERP and ensure timely product release.
  • Develop and document manufacturing and operating procedures.
  • Contribute to the Production budget preparation.

2. Optimizing Production Performance

  • Analyze processing yields and compare them to standards.
  • Assess raw material usage, lead times, and labor efficiency against benchmarks.
  • Implement corrective actions to improve production efficiency.
  • Develop staff multi-skilling and versatility across processing functions.

3. Improving Production Tools & Processes

  • Ensure proper use of production equipment and recommend improvements.
  • Identify needs and consumption trends within the department.
  • Propose modifications and investments to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department to address equipment challenges.
  • Recognize and address limitations in production installations.

4. Quality Assurance & HSE Compliance

  • Ensure product traceability and maintain quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols.
  • Check and maintain protective and safety equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with audits, regulations, and inspections.
  • Participate in training sessions, emergency drills, and safety updates.
  • Contribute to the development of emergency and evacuation plans.

5. Additional Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal and external technical interventions and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports.
  • Manage the production budget and control costs.
  • Keep updated on technological advancements in manufacturing.
  • Promote a safety culture and adherence to personal safety measures.
  • Organize and manage team training and skill development programs.
  • Assist HR in recruitment, evaluation, and retention of employees.
  • Develop dashboards and monthly/annual reports on production activities.

 

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and emerging technologies.
  • Expertise in developing work procedures and production schedules.
  • Understanding of mechanics, electricity, and laboratory techniques.
  • Experience in managing CAPM (ERP) systems for production planning.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Industry or Electromechanical Engineering.
