Key Responsibilities:

• 
  1. Actionable data insights:
  o Ensure efficient collection of relevant datasets aligned with project objectives and 
  stakeholder needs.
  o Clean, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL and visualization tools to detect 
  patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
  o Apply FAIR data principles and organizational best practices to maintain data quality, 
  security, and compliance.
  o Create intuitive, stakeholder-friendly dashboards and reports (primarily in Power BI, 
  occasionally in Metabase) to monitor progress and facilitate informed decision-making.

  2. Business analysis & Process optimization:
  o Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their underlying challenges and 
  objectives.
  o Translate these needs into data-informed solutions, whether that’s refining a data 
  collection process, streamlining a transactional workflow, or identifying bottlenecks in 
  the model.
  o Propose well-grounded improvements based on data-driven insights, ensuring that 
  solutions are both technically feasible and strategically aligned.

  3. Data management & modeling:
  o Support the design and maintenance of data models within the Snowflake/DBT 
  environment to ensure reliable and coherent data structures.
  o Work with the Amsterdam-based Data Chapter for guidance on and sharing of best 
  practices, especially concerning data architecture and modeling approaches that align 
  with our clients standards.
• 
  4. Strategic insights & Decision support:
  o Present findings and recommendations to leadership and other stakeholders in a clear, 
  compelling manner.
  o Leverage data to inform strategic planning, operational improvements, and cost-effective 
  service enhancements.
  o Contribute to shaping organizational strategy by understanding how data trends connect 
  to our clients visitation mission and long-term goals.

  5. Collaboration & Knowledge sharing:
  o Facilitate knowledge sharing within the Data Chapter, ensuring that insights, techniques, 
  and best practices are distributed across the organization.
  o Engage with external stakeholders, including partners and regulatory bodies, to ensure 
  that internal data practices comply with local and international standards and keep pace 
  with industry trends.

  6. Data governance & Compliance:
  o Adhere to data privacy laws and internal policies, ensuring that all data handling respects 
  security and confidentiality requirements.
  o Support the ongoing development of data governance frameworks, ensuring that data 
  usage aligns with the FAIR principles and international standards
