Key Responsibilities:
Social Responsibility and Audit Duties:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive social responsibility system to meet the audit standards of all clients. Ensure proper documentation and implementation within the company, while supervising and monitoring execution.
2. Assist management in implementing clients’ codes of conduct and best practices for labor standards, human resource management, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety.
3. Continuously monitor, improve, and enhance the factory's social responsibility performance by refining procedural documents.
4. Manage and evaluate the factory’s social responsibility systems, policies, procedures, training programs, internal audits, and document preparation comprehensively.
Compliance and Auditing:
5. Ensure the factory complies with local labor laws, international social responsibility standards, and client-specific requirements, especially for clients in the United States and Europe.
6. Conduct pre-audit preparations, convene meetings, and address issues raised by follow-ups or third-party auditors.
7. Maintain documentation and records required for certifications and compliance.
8. Guarantee adherence to, or exceed, all Fair Labor Association (FLA) obligations.
Collaboration and Issue Resolution:
9. Organize and lead meetings with relevant departments to analyze and resolve social responsibility issues, consolidating progress made in these areas.
10. Inspect and track the progress of corrective action plans, objectives, and implementation plans.
11. Coordinate and promote communication between various factory departments (e.g., payroll, HR, operations, health, and safety) and maintain positive relationships with worker representatives.
Knowledge Enhancement and Training:
12. Continuously enhance knowledge in social responsibility through training, workshops, or research. Participate in customer or CSR-related organizational events (e.g., FLA or CSR workshops) as needed.
13. Assess and address training requirements across all levels of the organization (from management to workers) to enhance performance. Evaluate and optimize training programs for maximum effectiveness.
Sustainability Initiatives:
14. Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact and align with sustainability goals.
15. Report on sustainability metrics relevant to U.S. and European market requirements.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
16. Serve as the primary contact for social responsibility teams from U.S. and European clients.
17. Address and resolve compliance concerns specific to these markets, ensuring high client satisfaction.
18. Communicate effectively about local laws and factory practices to demonstrate compliance during audits.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing setting that serves U.S. and/or European clients.
· Comprehensive knowledge of local labor laws and international social responsibility frameworks (e.g., SA8000, BSCI, or similar).
· Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with international clients.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with audit tools or compliance software.
· Fluency in Twi Language and English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
