TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (DUTIES)

Support the development and implementation of the Company's financial strategy, annual business plan, budgets and forecasts.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including IFRS 17.
Prepare management, Board and regulatory financial reports and provide analysis to support decision-making.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and provide timely variance analysis.
Maintain effective financial systems, internal controls, policies and procedures.
Coordinate statutory and regulatory reporting, including prudential returns to the National Insurance Commission (NIC).
Manage treasury, cash flow and investments, and oversee general ledger, payables/receivables, payroll and fixed assets.
Oversee insurance and reinsurance accounting, and coordinate internal and external audit requirements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS)

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline from a recognized university.
A professional accounting qualification such as ICAG, ACCA or equivalent.
Minimum of eight (8) years' relevant Finance/Accounting experience, preferably in financial services or insurance.
At least four (4) years' experience in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong practical knowledge of IFRS 17, insurance accounting, financial and management accounting.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, regulatory reporting, treasury, financial controls and audit.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
