Job Description
  1. Duties and responsibilities:
    • Supervise the day to day activities (administration and operations) of the Clearing and Forwarding department (Seafreight) which includes customs documentation, port/terminal operations, customer service and haulage of client shipments.
    • Supervise client account managers and ensure effective communication with regular shipment updates.
    • Supervise accurate and timely invoicing of files once shipments have been  delivered. Closing files after all disbursements have been duly accrued with accepted gross margins.
    • Responsible for solving issues that may arise with relevant stakeholders such as customs, shipping lines, port terminals and other relevant agencies.
    • Submit weekly budgets to CFO on forecasted expenses of ongoing files as part of company cashflow management.
    • Report to management on operations of the department.
    • In charge of sourcing and managing 3rd party transporters.

Profile of candidate:
Must have a +5 years of relevant managerial/supervisor experience in logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain.
• Bachelor/HND degree in logistics, supply chain or maritime related fields is an advantage.
• Show track record of managing a team/ leadership skills.
• Project management skills is an advantage.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Excel  is required.
• Proactive and ability to work under less supervision.
