Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 Strategic Leadership

 • Articulate and drive the long-term vision, mission, and values of the Academy, ensuring they are embedded in all aspects of school life.

 • Translate vision into actionable strategic and operational plans, setting priorities that promote student achievement, staff development, and organisational growth. 

• Serve as a thought leader and advocate for innovation in education, safeguarding the Academy’s positioning as a leading institution. 

• Provide visible and inspirational leadership across all divisions and to all stakeholders. Organisational & Administrative Management

 • Oversee the effective internal organisation, management and control of academic and non-academic functions. 

• Ensure the development and consistent application of policies and systems across the Academy. 

• Lead the recruitment, retention, professional development, and performance management of staff. 

• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold all statutory and accreditation standards. 

• Monitor and oversee effective resource allocation, financial prudence, and value-for money operations. Educational Leadership

 • Set and maintain the highest academic standards across Preschool, Primary and Secondary divisions. 

• Promote a culture of excellence, inquiry, collaboration, and innovation in pedagogy and assessment.

 • Support and supervise Divisional Heads in achieving divisional targets and ensuring curriculum relevance and rigour. 

• Lead ongoing school-wide self-evaluation and quality assurance processes to identify areas of improvement and growth. 

• Ensure that teaching and learning are data-informed and student-centred. Community Engagement & External Relations 

• Serve as the primary ambassador and spokesperson of the Academy to parents, partners, and the wider community. 

• Foster positive, respectful, and collaborative relationships with families, alumni, local leaders and education stakeholders. 

• Promote equity, inclusion, and student voice within the school community. • Strengthen partnerships that enhance co-curricular and community-based learning experiences.

 Accountability & Reporting

 • Report regularly to the Executive Director and the Board on school performance, risks, and strategic progress. 

• Implement transparent processes for setting, tracking, and communicating performance metrics at all levels.

 • Lead a culture of shared accountability for learning outcomes, student wellbeing, and school effectiveness.

 • Ensure effective use of data and evidence to support planning, interventions and reporting. 

Education & Experience 

• Postgraduate degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field; an MBA or further qualifications are an asset.

 • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience within educational institutions, including experience overseeing multiple divisions or a whole school. 

• Demonstrated success in instructional leadership, strategic planning, team development, and community engagement.
