Job Description
Technical Requirements
-Strategic turnaround leadership, including liquidity stabilization, portfolio recovery, and profitability restoration.
-Strong financial management capability: cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, budgeting, cost control, and capital adequacy management.
-Credit and risk management expertise: credit policy design, underwriting standards, pricing, NPL management, collections, recoveries, and risk appetite setting.
-Regulatory compliance and governance management, including KYC/AML, SAR processes, audit, risk, and compliance committee oversight.
-Operational excellence across the loan lifecycle (origination, servicing, collections), including process optimization and automation.
-Data governance and analytics: performance dashboards, management reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
-Stakeholder engagement and regulatory liaison with supervisors, lenders, partners, and community stakeholders.
-People leadership: performance management, talent development, succession planning, and culture building.
Experience & Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (CFA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
-Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in microfinance, inclusive finance, fintech lending, or financial services.
-Proven track record in organizational or portfolio turnaround, including P&L ownership and capital management.
-Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and engagement with financial regulators.
-Strong background in credit risk management, portfolio quality improvement, and delinquency control.
-Experience leading change initiatives, process re-engineering, and technology-enabled operations.
-Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
-High integrity, resilience, and strong alignment with financial inclusion objectives
