Job Description
Technical Requirements
-Credit appraisal and underwriting, including analysis of financial statements, cash flows, and business viability.
-Application of the 4 Cs of Credit (Character, Capacity, Collateral, Conditions) in credit decision-making.
-Risk identification, monitoring, and mitigation, including early delinquency detection and portfolio concentration analysis.
-Portfolio management skills: monitoring loan performance, NPLs, PAR 30/90, aging analysis, and recovery processes.
-Knowledge of microfinance lending products, SME lending, and repayment performance drivers.
-Strong documentation and compliance management in line with internal credit policies and Ghanaian microfinance regulations.
-Proficiency in core banking or credit management systems and data integrity management.
-Ability to prepare credit, risk, and portfolio quality reports for management review.
Experience & Qualifications
-Minimum of one (1) year experience in credit underwriting, risk assessment, or loan portfolio management, preferably in microfinance, fintech, SME lending, or cooperative banking.
-Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills and relevant internships in banking or finance may be considered.
-Background in microfinance institutions, village banking, or credit cooperatives is an advantage.
-Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
-Certifications or training in credit risk management or microfinance are an added advantage.
-Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for microfinance lending in Ghana.
-Demonstrated analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound ethical judgment.
