Job Description

RESPONSPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow-up with hardware/software vendors to define requirements and supporting plans to meet the requirements.
  •  At management requests provide up-to date information on the current project status. 
  • Performs account management for all network/voice systems (MS WinNT, MS Exchange, MS SQL, Remote Access, PBXs etc). 
  • Performs day-to-day tasks and procedures for Backup of all network data resources. 
  • Ensure that the IT Security is implemented at the LAN/Voice network, Server and workstation level by implementing the company's  Standards. 
  • Perform design, planning & installation of LANs, this includes wiring/hubs, Servers and workstations to company defined Standards (including Standard Desktop & Servers configurations). 
  • Provide first- and second-line support WAN/VPN/Voice Net and first line support for Corp. Applications and end-user’s support. 
  • Keep all internal IT processes & procedures fully documented and safe. 
  • Provide excellent service to IT users within the organization 
  • Escalate IT issues to management where necessary 
  • Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as required 
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops, desktops, IP Phones 
  • Install authorised software to laptops and desktops 
  • Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops 
  • Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Mandatory technical skills: administering Windows NT/2003/2008, Exchange, IIS, DHCP, WINS, DNS servers; experience working with switches and routers, servers and workstations; knowledge of TCP/IT stack and MS office application suite, knowledge of modern IT technologies. Basic functionality/administration of Siemens/Nortel PBXs. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both within the International SOS organization and with external contacts 
  • At least 3 years of practical work experience in the field of IT and IT support (at user, system and network level) 
  • Experience of working in a call centre environment a distinct advantage 
  • Higher technical education in the field of IT or electronics. 
  • IT Certifications (MCP/MCSE/CCNA) a distinct advantage 
  • Has technical learning ability. Picks up technical things quickly, can learn new skills and knowledge. Good at learning new industry, company, product or technical 
  • Customer focus – dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
