Job Description
Technical Requirements
* • Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with project goals and company objectives.
* Manage the entire procurement process, including the selection of suppliers, negotiation of contracts, and monitoring of supplier performance.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure the timely procurement of materials and services.
* Collaborate with the Logistics team to ensure the successful delivery of procured materials and services in a timely and efficient manner
* Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and pricing structures.
* Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and purchase orders.
* Assist in the recruitment, training and development needs of direct reports.
Experience and Qualifications:
* A minimum of a BSc degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Minimum of Eight (8) years' experience in procurement, preferably within the construction and civil engineering industry
* Professional certification (e.g., GHIS, CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
* Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and services
* Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management
* Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
* Ability to work in a multicultural team.
