Job Description

Technical Qualifications

  • Prepare authentic Chinese cuisine, ensuring high quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Develop and update menus that include both Chinese and selected local dishes.
  • Maintain proper food hygiene, kitchen sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory, manage kitchen supplies, and minimize food wastage.
  • Train and supervise kitchen assistants to ensure consistent food preparation.
  • Collaborate with management to plan special menus, banquets, and themed events.
  • Ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Chinese Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • Expert in preparing a wide range of Chinese dishes (Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, etc.) and familiar with Ghanaian/local cuisine.
  • Culinary certification or professional training in Chinese cuisine preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, hygiene, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in flavor and quality.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable accommodation provided as part of the employment package.
