Job Description
Technical Qualifications
- Prepare authentic Chinese cuisine, ensuring high quality, taste, and presentation.
- Develop and update menus that include both Chinese and selected local dishes.
- Maintain proper food hygiene, kitchen sanitation, and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory, manage kitchen supplies, and minimize food wastage.
- Train and supervise kitchen assistants to ensure consistent food preparation.
- Collaborate with management to plan special menus, banquets, and themed events.
- Ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Chinese Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Expert in preparing a wide range of Chinese dishes (Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, etc.) and familiar with Ghanaian/local cuisine.
- Culinary certification or professional training in Chinese cuisine preferred.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in flavor and quality.
- Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
- Comfortable accommodation provided as part of the employment package.
