Key Responsibilities: -

• Design and oversee the installation of mechanical systems including extrusion, injection, and blow molding machinery. 
•  Ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime of mechanical components by implementing effective maintenance strategies. 
• Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions. 
•  Collaborate with electrical and production teams to integrate mechanical systems with control platforms. - Oversee tooling development, machine alignment, die setup, and calibration processes. 
• Develop and maintain SOPs, preventive maintenance schedules, and technical documentation. 
•  Lead engineering projects including machine upgrades, capacity expansions, and layout redesigns. 
• Ensure mechanical systems comply with health, safety, and environmental standards. 
• Manage external mechanical contractors and vendors.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). 
•  8–10+ years hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within the plastic manufacturing industry. 
•  In-depth knowledge of thermoplastics processing machinery and mechanical systems. 
•  Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and mechanical simulation tools. 
•  Strong understanding of mechanical codes, standards, and industrial safety practices. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage capital projects.

Desirable Certifications: 

• Registered Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent) 
•  Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Certification 
• PMP Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
